Super Nurse for March 2017: Jay

Our March 2017 Super Nurse of the Month is Jay, who exemplifies every heroic quality Health Carousel Travel Nursing looks for in a nurse. Not only is he a hard-working professional with a remarkably enthusiastic commitment to patient care, he has referred four working nurses to us with his same qualities, which only strengthens our fleet.

Here’s what Jay’s recruiter, Jordan Dial had to say in his nomination for Super Nurse of the Month:

I cannot speak highly enough about Jay and neither can his facility. During his last assignment, he received two awards after being nominated by patients and their families. One said, ‘he showed compassion, concern, joy, and comfort to my dad…I wish more male nurses were like Jay.’ Another said, ‘he is kind and always ready to help…even if it’s only a Kleenex.’

Jay is also an amazing leader and mentor in the nursing profession. He is actually working three jobs: a traveler for HCTN, per diem for several nearby facilities, and a nursing professor at an area community college.  While managing this crazy work load, Jay also just recently completed his CCRN—an outstanding achievement. Talk about being a Super Nurse!
