Nope, that’s not snow, that’s sand! We’re back in Texas again this week for #TravelTuesday because we have a HIGH paying job in El Paso for L&D travel nurses!
Interested in learning more about El Paso? Keep reading below.
We actually have a traveler in El Paso right now and Rebecca was able to give us some awesome travel tips!
Restaurants: All the chain restaurants are there, but TexMex is the way to go and Rafa’s is by far the best. Forget tacotuesday, this place has giant burritos as big as your head for as little as $5 a piece!
If you’re looking for a great plate of nachos, though, head over to Leos for nachos with all the fixins and finish it all off with a Sopaipilla.
Mexican meets American at New Clock restaurant where everything is homemade and you can get a killer burger with a Mexican twist.
Travel: The airport is a quick and easy in-and-out with no hassle. El Paso also has a great bus system for those travelers who may not want to bring their car.
Adventuring: El Paso offers the ultimate adventure, only a short trip from the Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands National Park, and the Franklin Mountains. White Sands National Park provides stunning landscapes of white gypsum dunes. It is also a treasure trove for history buffs who want to learn more about the first nuclear test facilities. Top it off with skiing just a few hours away in Ruidoso and this is the adventurer’s dream!
Local: For those who want to stay a little closer to home, there is plenty of shopping, a casino in town, great horse racing this time of year and free-concerts from the military base!
Rebecca spent over a year in El Paso last time she was there and she has been back there for almost another year now! “I wouldn’t go back to a place if I didn’t like it or think it was safe. We have a lot of friends here now that we love. It is an outstanding place to go.”
