What do you enjoy most about your work?
What I enjoy most about my work is connecting with people and preparing for a lasting working relationships. There is beauty in the long road to success, and I enjoy visualizing it with other professionals.
What do you do for travelers that you feel is completely unique to you?
What is most unique about me is that I share my ambitions, and I like hearing about the ambitions of others. If we connect with each other about our goals, then we can strive to support each other in reaching them.
What is your favorite thing about working with travelers?
My favorite thing about working with travelers is that there is rarely a dull moment in talking to them. I can connect with a Florida native who is fascinated about life in Minnesota, and I would hear all about their long-lost experiences with snow! Even when it means talking about the weather, there is always something interesting to hear from a traveler.
What is your most valuable advice for the travelers you work with?
The most valuable advice I can offer to a traveler is to know where you're going. America is a big place with plenty variety in its climates, regions and people. Do your research when you plan to move to a new place, because anything can change!
Why are you passionate about this industry?
I'm passionate about healthcare travel nursing because healthcare professionals are needed everywhere! It brings a lot of pride that I can take a nurse who saves lives and place them where a life needs saving--and that I can also provide direction, encouragement and a little company to a travelling nurse who recognizes their call to travel.
Where did you grow up?
I'm a Hoosier, born and raised in small town Fremont, Indiana. I grew up fishing, shooting and swimming in Indiana's wooded lakes. Even though I moved to the big city of Columbus for school and work, I still don't forget where I came from.
What are your favorite places to travel?
I travel through books or games these days. I want to see the world, but for now I don't have any plans.
What's on your travel wishlist
There is a castle, Culcreuch Castle in Scotland that was originally named Galbraith Castle. It was built by a clan of my ancestors. I must go see that castle!
Tell us about your family or pets
My mother is a nurse, and she takes pride in writing policy for her department. My father and brother are both sales managers. You could say that connecting with people and the healthcare field are in my blood!
What's your favorite food?
Anything potatoes. Stewed potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato skins, potatoes au gratin, potato chips, scalloped potatoes, loaded baked potatoes, fried potatoes, cheesy potatoes, I'll even eat a potato raw with a little salt.
What is your favorite pump-up song?
Skillet - Feel Invincible. I always listen to it when it's GO time for gaming or a workout. Avicii - Wake Me Up. This was my graduation song for college, and I play it to remind me of my ambitions.
What's your all-time favorite hobby?
My all-time favorite hobby is video games. I enjoy them with friends and I love to connect with people over video games. I am part of my University's gaming community, and I teach people how to play video games.
