What do you enjoy most about your work?
Having structure and routine in my day to day is very important to me. I enjoy working on my toes even during the most challenging of times. This is a fast-paced industry where I get to have structure, continue to build relationships with internal and external employees, and learn how to manage my productivity levels and processes.
What do you do for travelers that you feel is completely unique to you?
For any of my current or future travelers, one of the first things that I mention is that I am specifically here for them. I want to be an advocate for each traveler and assist in leading them down a path to success and growth within their careers. I strive for transparency and openness in order to connect with reliable candidates so that we can continue to grow together as a team!
What is your favorite thing about working with travelers?
Helping someone find their dream or most ideal assignment is one of the best feelings in the world to me! Being able to speak with travelers about this when an offer comes through is by far my favorite part about working with travelers. Getting to hear the excitement in their voices and positive feedback on our teamwork makes my day every time!
What is your most valuable advice for the travelers you work with?
My most valuable advise for the travelers that I work with is to always build upon a relationship with your recruiter. In order to advocate for our health care providers, we need consistent communication. Make sure to find a recruiter who is going to be an advocate for you and shows that they are doing everything in their power to assist you. Don't be afraid to ask questions. That is why we are here, to support you in any way that we can!
Why are you passionate about this industry?
I come from a family with multiple recruiters or staffing industry alumni! My mother and stepfather actually met working in a staffing agency that my grandmother ran back in 1997. I joined the staffing industry while I was in college and fell in love with ethics, communication, and health care provider advocacy.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Sacramento, CA where I still visit often! Moved to Oregon for college right out of high school and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest.
What are your favorite places to travel?
I really enjoy traveling throughout the Pacific Northwest when possible. I love trees and nature in general and if you are ever looking for a good hike, come to the PNW!
What's on your travel wishlist
I would love to be able to travel to Canada. I live in the Pacific Northwest so we aren't too far but have not yet had the chance!
Tell us about your family or pets
If you were to visit my house, you would be greeted by 3 hilarious cats, myself, my wife, and our amazing daughter. My wife and I share our daughter with her biological father and even though he does not live with us, we are a strong family unit and continue to grow together every day. I am beyond proud and happy to have such a unique family dynamic!
What's your favorite food?
If I had to choose 1 food to eat for the rest of my life, I would have to go with Mushroom Cavatappi!
What is your favorite pump-up song?
"Hand In My Pocket" by Alanis Morissette
What's your all-time favorite hobby?
My all-time favorite hobby is ceramics/pottery! I am new to the potters world, however, I have realized that working with clay has been one of the most therapeutic hobbies that I have ever had and I continuously find new and old joys while working on my art pieces.
